Here is a summary of today’s Enterprise Technology & Services Tech Briefing, which is our last of 2024 and is focused exclusively on the switch to Workday.
  • Workday will go live on Saturday, December 21. Make sure you are prepared by checking our list of to-dos prior to go-live.
  • The Workday Manager Fundamentals Canvas course is now live.
  • Reminder: Student Financial Services and ET&S will perform a mandatory data conversion in Colleague on Sunday, December 22, at 7 a.m. through Monday, December 23 at 12 p.m. During this time, Colleague will not be available.Ìý
  • Reminder: 24/7 tech support is available during the holiday break through all support channels atÌý/it/need-it-help

Workday is Coming on December 21! Are you Prepared?
To Know:ÌýWorkday will be our new HR, Finance and Payroll system and will launch on Saturday, December 21.

To Do:ÌýWhat you need to do prior to Workday Go-Live:
  • All staff and Faculty should complete the shortÌýWorkday Fundamentals Canvas courseÌý(less than 15 minutes).ÌýYou will need to complete the knowledge check or quiz at the end of the course.
  • If you are faculty or HR / Finance staff and will be in Workday on a regular basis, please seeÌýÌýto ensure you are prepared for launch.
  • HR and Finance Workday Fundamental Canvas CoursesÌýare now available on your Canvas dashboard!
  • To take the Workday Fundamentals Canvas Course and quiz, view theÌýÌýÌýfor access instructions to the Canvas dashboard.
  • To get access to the Workday Training Practice Sandbox:ÌýOnce you complete the quiz, you will receive access to the Sandbox link provided in the last module of the course.Ìý
Workday Manager Fundamentals Course in Canvas is now available
To Know: ÌýThe Manager Fundamentals in Workday Canvas course is now available on your Canvas dashboard and is designed for managers and supervisors (anyone with direct reports).ÌýIt takes a deeper dive into Workday and explores the functionality that will support your role as a manager or supervisor.Ìý
  • For more information about how to access your canvas dashboard, please view theÌýÌýÌýon the Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Workday Resources website.
  • ReviewÌýfor important reminders and suggested action items prior to the Workday Go-Live.
Course Description:ÌýWorkday has multiple tools that you'll be using to manage and lead your team, from onboarding to tracking time to performance reviews and more.ÌýThis course will introduce you to various apps, dashboards, hubs and reports that you'll be using on a regular basis. The Workday Training Practice Sandbox link will also be accessible in the last module of this course. Ìý

To Do:
  • Course Prerequisite:ÌýWorkday Fundamentals Canvas course (for employees).ÌýIt is highly recommended that you complete this course. Consider this Level 1 learning for the Level 2 Manager Fundamentals course.
  • If you cannot open your Canvas dashboard, please submit aÌý
  • If you can access your dashboard, but the course does not display, pleaseÌýÌýrequesting that the course be added your dashboard.
Colleague/Self-Service Maintenance, Sunday 12/22-Monday 12/23 at noon
To Know:ÌýET&S would like the KSC community to be aware that in support of the move to the Workday HR/Finance platform,ÌýStudent Financial Services and ET&S will perform mandatory data conversion in the Colleague system from Sunday, December 22 at 7a.m. through Monday, December 23 at 12 p.m. During this time, access to Colleague and Self-Service will not be available.
