Why I Chose Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ
Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ is one of the best institutions in the area in terms of academic and social opportunities. As a pre-med student I wanted to find a university that offers their students unconditional support throughout their journey.
When I realized how many people I could turn to in times of need, it made me realize how fortunate I was to have Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ bring together such amazing people. Surrounding myself with amazing people reassures me that I made the right choice.
Highlights of my Academic Experience
The best part about Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ with regards to academics has to be the professors. All of my professors have been so passionate about their area of expertise while being support systems for students. I can easily tell the faculty here is accomplished, intelligent, and encouraging.
What's Cool About My Major
Something cool about studying at Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ is being able to go into classes that you are deeply interested and passionate about. For neuroscience especially, all of the major-specific classes sound so cool and engaging (like dissecting brains)!
Campus Experiences
My favorite part of Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ’s campus is having days where you run into so many people you know but also find some days where you meet so many new strangers. Even with our comparatively small class size, there are so many people to meet but a lot of people to be familiar with.
Something I Love About St. Louis Is ...
Saint Louis offers so many opportunities in terms of internships, shadowing, and networking. I have had many great experiences shadowing in the highly esteemed hospitals of St. Louis as well as work in some clinics.
My Favorite Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ Tradition
Welcome week has to be my favorite tradition. After a long summer break all I wanted to do was to go back to my second home — Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ! Â鶹ÊÓƵÏÂÔØ does an amazing job of welcoming in the incoming class while involving upperclassmen as well. It is a week packed full of awesome activities.
